En outre, un manager doit également savoir faire preuve de bienveillance à son propre égard, il est important qu’il recourt à des moyens simples, efficaces et éprouvés pour se protéger lui, des effets du stress. Plus un manager est serein, plus il est en mesure d’être bienveillant. On peut être bienveillant et exigeant à la fois. Manager avec bienveillance ne signifie pas ne pas dire les choses. Un manager aura tout intérêt à recadrer ses équipes lorsque cela sera nécessaire, l’important est la façon de le faire.

La bienveillance, c’est se comporter bien vis à vis de chacun, qu’on l’apprécie ou non. La mise en application du management bienveillant peut parfois prendre du temps, surtout lorsque la norme a longtemps été à un management très directif.
Il est nécessaire que le manager prenne le temps d’expliquer à chacun de ses collaborateurs l’intérêt de cette manière de procéder, il y va d’une baisse du niveau de stress et d’une augmentation de la motivation à une période où le pourcentage de salariés stressés ne cesse d’augmenter et où le pourcentage de collaborateurs démotivés progresse.
